hi raevynne --

thank you very much for your kind words about empress! i hope you'll like the next book, too -- it's not out yet, but i'll definitely post here when i know the publication date. it's from battle's point of view, and it's called the rules for hearts.

Okay, so you don't know me, but... I'd like to express my feelings toward your work. :D

A friend of mine told me to read Empress of the World one day after finding it in our school library. I enjoyed it enough to check out your website, and when I found out you had a livejournal, I had to add you to my friends list and post a comment. (I hope you don't mind.)

The thing I enjoyed most of all about Empress of the World was probably the characters. I felt I could really identify with them.

Anyway, I should be asleep right now, and I think I've said what I needed to...

Keep up the great work! ^_^

Hi, this is Paul Tobin, the guy who writes the comic Banana Sunday, illustrated by Colleen Coover. I'm not sure if you know us: we've chatted with Steve a few times.

Anyway, just wanted to say that we both read Empress of the World in the past week or so, and enjoyed it very much. Your characters are really lively, and we cared about them almost immediately. A very fresh-feeling book. I'll save more praise for a later time. When you're back in the states, and recovered from the journey, it would be nice for us all to get together for dinner or something. Give us a holler if you'd like.

Best...Paul
