We found it at an estate sale. A spaceship made from a cardboard box, with little painted space guys in it, and a radioate (that’s what it said) area. It’s a fragile, dusty object, and you know, there’s nothing you can really do with it, but we couldn’t bear the idea of it getting thrown out, so we bought it for a dollar, and then John took some fabulous photos.

    I think it’s a lovely dorky toy — I would totally have done something like that; almost did do something like that. It combines the geekiness of action figures and the craftiness of the elementary school diorama project. Which are often combined, anyway. Also, the photos are great.
