I have no idea why, but I missed this post. Had I not somehow missed this post, I would have realized that Tom Waits was playing at Thomas Wolfe less than an hour from the spot where I sit grinding my teeth in frustration at this very moment. "Expletive deleted" doesn't even <i>begin</i> to cover it. Oh, that fargin’ hurts.

I have no idea why, but I missed this post.

Had I not somehow missed this post, I would have realized that Tom Waits was playing at Thomas Wolfe less than an hour from the spot where I sit grinding my teeth in frustration at this very moment.

I am a different person. NYC isn't on his list and small wonder. Maybe he's raising money for New Orleans.... (By the way, the recent book, Innocent When you Dream, edited by Mac Montandon, collects interviews and reviews of Waits going back 30 years and is well worth the dosh.)
