When I saw the thick-necked ex-frat-looking dudes with their beers while we were waiting for Sleater-Kinney to come onstage, I thought, yeah, some folks will just go to whatever’s at the Crystal.
Then S-K went on. The dudes knew all the words to every song, and their air guitar and drumming was a wonder to behold.

I’m so jealous! Both their shows here sold out in seconds, and now that they’ve announced this is the end (at least for now), I’m doubly bummed I won’t see them.
I do love it though when perceptions are turned on their head.

Ahhh, I love Sleater-Kinney! Fantastic. I’m rather jealous.
Also, I love it when people prove stereotypes wrong. It makes the world a happy place.

Then they spoiled it by demanding “Free Bird” during the encore.
