And his parodies still have a way of supplanting the original in my mind. I can’t hear “Smells Like Teen Spirit” without expecting a cow’s moo in the chorus (from “Smells Like Nirvana”: “We’re a garage band from Seattle/ But it sure beats raising cattle! [mooo!]“)

Funny thing, though, I prefer his original songs to most of his parodies. Probably because his parodies are all of top-40′s pop/r&b stuff, which I never liked to begin with.
