Podcastic!

Okay. So I think you can subscribe to my podcast now.
In iTunes, go to Advanced->Subscribe to podcast and put in this URL:

Or you can just download the mp3 of the first episode.
Here’s the description of it I wrote for iTunes:

Empress of the World, beginning through p.18, read by the author, from inside a tin can. A tin can that is hissing. Any listener with mad podcasting skillz who can teach me how to clean up this recording will have my eternal gratitude. And a signed copy of the paperback.

N.B.: I have already tried the Noise Removal in Audacity and even at its gentlest setting, it made me sound like M-11, the Human Robot.

    If you like, I can have a stab at it. I have been doing some music production in my non-existent spare time, and I would be happy to put my modest skills at your disposal. I’d need a .wav file to play with though, not an mp3.

    Oh, I thought you would have the .wav file. Don’t worry about converting, I can do that on this end. As for uploading large files, try

    and for the target email use

    I make no promises, as I’ve never tried doing production on anyone else’s files before, but hey, I’m free and willing, so we’ll see what I can do.

    I wish I knew something about podcasts and turning tin cans into not tin cans, because a signed copy of your book sounds lovely, but alas. However, I will go download it because I can never get enough of Empress.

    What kind of mike are you using? And I have access to lots of noise-removal sound-tweaking stuff here.
