Blog/ Podcast

If it’s Monday…

…there must be a new podcast. Not that I’m trying to stick to a schedule or anything.

Trivia: in my iTunes library, it’s immediately followed by Michael Franti‘s “Rock the Nation.” And then by the Blind Boys of Alabama’s version of “Way Down In The Hole,” which I have, yes, because of my continuing, overpowering obsession with The Wire.

I love the Blind Boys of Alabama. I have their Christmas CD which I won’t listen to for another 11 months. I bought it a few years ago because I saw them on tv…and Chrissie Hynde is on one track and I’m a sucker for anything she does (in fact I dropped $$$ on the latest Who tour mainly because the Pretenders opened.

Hi, Sara! I really loved reading Empress of the World. It made me cry because it reminded me so vividly of my first female crush who actually looks and acts amazingly like Battle. These podcasts are really amazing! The only problem is that this particular section is not downloading to my computer. Could you perhaps e-mail it to me instead?

    Hey, thanks!
About the podcast: hmm, that’s odd. Try the link in this post, which has links to all the Empress podcasts. If that one doesn’t work, let me know and I’ll try emailing it. :)
