		<description>I *so* want this book now. I wasn't aware of it, until you posted about it. Now I &lt;u&gt;must&lt;/u&gt; have it.

The book seems to cover A LOT of my favorite pet research topics:

* the construction of geek identity

* the power dynamics and sociology of fan communities

* how fandom is practiced (the approved buy-a-million-licensed-collector's-items version vs. the more creative remix-oriented version)

And yeah, that cover is like a million different kinds of po-mo meta-referential goodness.

That's definitely going onto my to-buy list. Cheers!</description>
