If anyone had asked me, I would have said, “Sade’s Smooth Operator? Is already sufficiently smooth. There is no need for an instrumental ’smooth jazz’ version.”

But they didn’t. And it was the last thing I heard at the gym this morning. And it won’t leave my head.

Quick, distract me with something. Please?

Supposedly if you sing a Kenny Rogers song it will get rid of the other song and Kenny’s songs don’t stick.

If that doesn’t work, try this:

Apologies for those who don’t know what Venn diagrams are.

I have a theory that I have proven to be true with multiple people:

It is impossible to be unhappy whilst singing Copacabana. Really, singing that song releases some sort of lovely endorphins.

Caveat: It is possible to be unhappy whilst SOMEONE ELSE is singing Copacabana in your presence.

    You’re Welcome.

Go listen to The Pipettes: http://www.thepipettes.co.uk/

They will stick in your head in place of bad elevator music.

“Your Kisses Are Wasted On Me” is a little piece of pop genius. It’s been running through my head for the past two days.
