Here is a recently-improvised smoothie recipe that incidentally makes it possible to stay up much later watching DVDs of Deadwood:

frozen strawberries
frozen bananas
a small package of chocolate pudding mix (I use the fat & sugar free kind)
a splash of vanilla soy milk
a dollop of plain nonfat yogurt
two shots of espresso

Blend the frozen fruit first, then add the rest of the ingredients. Proportions are dependent on your desired smoothie thickness. I like mine thick enough to eat with a spoon.

In addition to its other fine qualities, the espresso conquers the Splenda aftertaste from the pudding mix.

    Which season are you watching? I’m dying to watch Season Three. I love that show.

    yes, it’s the third season. we’ve been devouring it; i’m just sad that there isn’t a fourth one!
