This made me all teary, because I feel the exact same way. I am like a big weepy girl for Portland and the lovely people in it.

Only I got here in July 2005, so talk about hitting the sweet spot. For that reason, the Decemberists song "July, July" is my Portland theme song - every time the lyrics get to "there is a road that meets the road that goes to my house" I get kinda choked up. The song itself is loopy/creepy, but it holds all the exuberance of having a crazy place to call your own, and this town is it.

I didn't know I dominated your purchases! I feel special.

And for the record, I sold right around 20 copies of Click, with nary a hard sell in sight, and the vast majority to total strangers! Holy smokes!

If you want to go in on on a big ole batch that we can split, I'm down for it, because I'm a'gettin' an internet sto'.

The busdriver on Monday laughed at me on Monday when he saw my wallet full of single-dollar bills and asked me if *I* was headed to a strip club.

Ah, Stumptown.
