(…I like the way this photo came out. Considerably less lame than most of my camera-phone shots.)

This particular set of questions has inspired me to add a category to this blog called, cleverly enough, Information for School Assignments.   What genre of books do you like to read? All kinds. Really. Who is your favorite author? I can’t pick just one. If you could work with any author who would it [...]

The room is pretty much packed. They’ve just asked anyone who’s next to an empty seat to raise our hands, so I do, and smile invitingly at a guy who’s still standing, wearing a white oxford with a blood-spatter pattern over a Wire t-shirt. We flew from winter to spring. Came home to lots of kind cards, all much appreciated. Last night there was a small gathering of comics folks and I got to meet Larry Marder. Good conversation, comforting normalcy. The quotidian reasserts itself: cat is overdue for checkup, furnace needs inspecting, we need new window coverings due [...]

Because we didn’t have enough going on already.

This was taken right before we left. Snag has used this suitcase-sitting strategy before. So far it has not succeeded in preventing us from traveling, but I’m glad he’s still trying. There are some very cool old buildings downtown.
