OMG I really want that for ME. I hope Mattel does a whole line of Hitchcock Barbie dolls. Oo, like a Kim Novak Vertigo doll that comes with wigs! Or Ken-as-Norman-Bates-as-Mother doll! Oh man.
Barbie used to have apparently less number of friends, clothes, careers or vehicles in 60s. Assorted things and friends of Barbie was a big fascination for most girls.
You've found Sara Ryan's website. I write books and comics for teens and others, I work as a librarian, and I blog about any number of things, though estate sales, thrift stores, and my cat are recurring themes. Some things you can do here: listen to me read my first novel, Empress of the World, read some of the comics I've written, and find out what I got certificates of achievement for in 1983.

I’ve been totally obsessed with Tippi Hedren’s performance in the Birds for YEARS. That is fabulously great.

Lori, I have a new responsibility to help mold the next generation. I have to leave a certain amount of self-gratification aside.
