Is “recursive” the word I’m looking for?

I probably would have bought this anyway:

Hortense

for my usual thrift-store reasons that a. it fulfilled a needed function, e.g. a coin purse; and b. it amused me.

But I think I was pushed over the purchasing edge because Hortense here looks so much like a Significant Object.

    You really should have a hand in some of the purchasing of the Significant Objects, as the oddest things seem to find you.
