Of late, certain of my acquaintance have been discussing typewriters and the satisfaction that can be derived from typing thereon; how different the act feels and sounds from the slickly responsive, quiet (too quiet?) keyboard on a laptop.

My memories of typewriter-typing were vague until earlier this afternoon, when it became apparent that the machine pictured above was still viable.

I wonder if they still make the ribbon.

They might not make ribbon for the particular size feed and particular size spool you have but I found it’s rather easy to adapt slightly smaller ribbons by unwinding their spools and rewinding them on my spools.

    Excellent, good to know.
