Actually it is just my typical bad cell phone camera shot. But it has that quality, don’t you think?

Abscess, sutures, antibiotics, drain, Elizabethan collar. Or “e-collar” for short, aka the Cone of Shame. He’s gonna have to wear it for a week to ten days.

He is exactly as delighted about this as you would suspect.

Somewhat to my surprise, I found the object of my quest at the third place I visited, not at either of the whimsical vintage shops, but at the discount furniture outlet where it was one of two desks in the entire store.

So here is my newly designated Official Workspace:

The Pacific Northwest landscape photograph comes from the estate sale that preceded the Desk Quest in yesterday’s adventures, and the sepia photo above it, which you can’t see very clearly, is my grandmother and her dog.

It’s near a large bookcase which I could conceivably stock with reference material, if we reorganized the books some. Which might happen.

Yes, that is a different landscape photograph. I bought two at the sale, so I can switch them out. And also yes, that is Snag, who will do his best to inhibit any productivity the new space encourages.

No, I never actually do get tired of posting ridiculous cat photos. In that way I am like much of the rest of the Internets.
