My apologies to anyone who clicked the “More” link on my last post and ran into a whole bunch of super creepy links. I haven’t figured out how the hack worked, but it was indeed a hack. Ew. I probably need to upgrade my WordPress.

Folks have been blogging about the new Borders “concept stores,” [...]

I’ll be sharing a table with Mr. Lieber in Artists’ Alley, # AA10 according to the website.
I will have comics and stickers and books. I’ll be there Saturday and Sunday. I hope to see some of y’all there!

Check out the new site for Periscope Studio, the product of a whole lot of WordPress customizing and tweaking, not to mention some sleepless nights on the part of at least one studio member. I think it looks pretty darn snazzy. But if you see anything wonky, use their contact form to let them know.

Handy Tip, courtesy of Shannon Hale and Libba Bray: If you’re in a restaurant and you are in a hurry because you have a signing to get to, use the ketchup bottle as a microphone and begin singing an improvised version of “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” with lyrics such as  “And I need to OR-DER [...]

Hey, everybody. It’s been a while.
Man.
You go away from easy Internet access for a week and somebody hacks your dang MySpace. For any of y’all who got bulletins from “me” alerting you to the latest horizontal hijinks of a young lady who I will not name, who is famous for being famous, please accept my [...]

Yes, I am just about to take off again for parts known and unknown.
2 pm Saturday, November 10th, I’ll be doing a Teen Writing Workshop at the Lynnwood Library in beautiful Lynnwood, Washington. (Thanks for making such a cool graphic advertising it, Lynnwood Library webfolk!)
Exactly seven days later, at 2 pm Saturday, November 17th, I’ll [...]

September 28th, 1997: I was on a train from Portland back to Ann Arbor. I’d just interviewed for a job. I’d done my first (and so far last) storytime. I read, among other things, Caps For Sale, a story featuring caps (as you might suspect) and monkeys.

September 28th, 2007: I wear Bill Mudron’s cap at [...]
