(…I like the way this photo came out. Considerably less lame than most of my camera-phone shots.)
Because we didn’t have enough going on already.
This was taken right before we left. Snag has used this suitcase-sitting strategy before. So far it has not succeeded in preventing us from traveling, but I’m glad he’s still trying.
There are some very cool old buildings downtown.
There are, of course, many things you can practice, improve, better.
But I am increasingly of the opinion that the hardest things you have to do, you can’t practice for.
P.S. Apparently, the sign’s actual purpose is to prohibit student drivers from the parking lot.
Photos all taken on N. Mississippi Ave. in Portland. The first three are a few months old. The last two I just took today.
My favorite thing about this one is that the sign on the door is for Marine and Environmental Testing.

There were dozens of these little umbrellas stuck into trees all over the campus of the Oregon College of Art and Craft. The effect was Christo crossed with Miyazaki.
Confetti in weeds, underwater. From the Mississippi Street Fair which I did not attend.
Auto repair. You can see the building across the street reflected, if you look closely.
I mistitled this in Flickr, I now realize. They offer not everything but everythng.
