Seitan Soup with Orzo And Whatever Else Is Around, aka Sara’s comfort food standby
1 package White Wave chicken-style seitan
1 quart broth of some variety
As many minced cloves of garlic as seem delicious
Olive oil for sauteeing the seitan and garlic

Here is a recently-improvised smoothie recipe that incidentally makes it possible to stay up much later watching DVDs of Deadwood:
frozen strawberries
frozen bananas
a small package of chocolate pudding mix (I use the fat & sugar free kind)
a splash of vanilla soy milk
a dollop of plain nonfat yogurt
two shots of espresso
Blend the frozen fruit first, then add [...]

Suffering post-con crud, though the con itself was utterly delightful. (I will try to get an actual con-reporty post together soon.)
As a result I had zero motivation to expend any effort in food preparation.
Hence:
1 lb. firm or extra firm tofu
